![]() ![]() Hyperfocus affects adults with ADHD across a wide variety of settings, including college, work, and hobbies. No biggie (because by now I don’t even realize I’m married let alone that he is in the building.) But then suddenly he drops a large metal pan lid that jolts me out of hyperfocus. Think about the shows your loved one with ADHD is likely to watch. TV is another prime example of an activity where hyperfocus is easy. With video games, there is an excess of stimulation. For example, let’s say I am hyperfocused on my hobby. People with ADHD usually begin to show symptoms when the world does not provide the level of stimulation that they need to stay involved.
